Hi there.
In case you skipped the little introduction on the front page....let's start from the beginning:
My name is Mie (like Mia but with an e - I know you will be wondering :-)
I'm 35 years old, Danish and I live with my British husband Alex and two girls Wilma (4) and Evelyn (2) in Raleigh, North Carolina. I am a stay-at-home Mom and my husband is an engineer and consultant....yes, very classical....Mommy stays home with the kids and starts a blog and husband brings home the bacon. But it works for us and I love it!I also love, love, LOVE to sew and my education as a seamstress kind of comes in handy here :-)
Before I had children and moved to America in 2008 I had a small women's apparel company in Denmark. The combination of working 14 hours a day and not making any money did not seem so attractive though when I became pregnant with our first child so I closed it down.
But I learned a lot of things - good and bad - and I would love to share it with you along the way!
I love sewing for my kids for a lot of reasons.
It's faster, you don't need so much fabric (aka less planning), there is less (or none) fittings AND they definitely look cuter in photos than I do ;-)
In this blog I'm (hopefully) going to give you inspiration for things to sew, make tutorials and share the knowledge I have learned during my education and along the way working for myself and others. And last but not least communicate with you readers! I would love to hear your comments or questions and I will try to answer as good as I can.
As you already know English is not my first language so please forgive me for spelling mistakes or wrong grammar. I will do my very best to make it as correct as possible and please don't hesitate to ask if something does not make sense at all!

This is Wilma and Evelyn - also known as 'The Monkeys'. And no we don't live 100% organic in this household :-)
Well done katty. Your first comment is by your husband but he likes your blog very much.
